Student Wellbeing and Positive Psychology

Specific Innovation: With a focus on supporting wellbeing, we are working to embed tenets of Positive Education throughout the school. Positive Education is based on the science of Positive Psychology and maintains a strengths-based focus on supporting positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning, and achievement. Focus on these areas, combined with attention to maintaining good physical health through healthy sleep patterns, exercise and nutrition, will ensure that our students’ holistic wellbeing is nurtured.

Goal: We will embed elements of the positive psychology framework within our advisory and character education programmes through planned and coordinated professional development training. Adopting a consistent framework for discussing wellbeing will support a healthier and more positive approach by all community members.

Evaluation: In collaboration with the Institute of Positive Education
