Mulgrave's SOGI (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity) educators work with the goal of making our community a space that is inclusive and safe for students of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

We believe that students' gender and orientation should not limit their interests, opportunities, and sense of belonging. Mulgrave has a SOGI Policy that guides our work and a student GSA Sub-Council that spear-heads peer-to-peer awareness and engagement.

Past initiatives in this area include interviews with alumni and current students resulting in the creation of a powerful video to share with the community (link below), articles in Mulgrave's Cypress Magazine, and regular awareness events for students throughout the year. 

Looking forward, we will bring more in-depth training to our faculty and are taking a deep dive into determining how to build a positive culture within our school across all divisions, in age appropriate ways.
