Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism
As we take steps toward anti-bias and anti-racism, we must understand our own identities and the role that our perspectives play on our views and behaviours. Unpacking our identities is a critical first step in laying a solid foundation to implementing and supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice initiatives. All of our faculty and staff engage in a year-long Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism (ABAR) course that guides us through this process.
John Wray, Head of School 2010-2023, set the tone for this work with a video that reflects on the identities he holds and the privilege he carries as a result of those identities. To pursue your own journey of identity discovery, please see Mulgrave's 21 Lesson ABAR Challenge materials below.
