Campus & Facilities
Mulgrave students enjoy remarkable, purpose-built, education facilities.
We understand that the learning environment can and does make a difference to student learning and achievement. We have created a learning environment that not only looks and feels good, but also actively supports students to achieve their best. From our stimulating, well-appointed and decorated classrooms to our extensive specialist facilities, every space is carefully designed to support and motivate teaching and learning.
Students at Mulgrave are fortunate to be able to experience and make use of a wide range of specialist spaces, including a embedded libraries throughout the school, performance theatre and black box studio, multiple state-of the art gymnasiums, fitness studio, climbing centre, turf playing field, specialist art and design studios, a suite of well-equipped science laboratories, a modern film studio, and a comfortable cafeteria.
Outdoor space is also very important to us so students can connect with our beautiful surroundings, learn how to steward the environment, and learn about Indigenous Ways of Teaching and Learning. A nature trail encircles our campus and students take their learning outside often. Multiple playground spaces for various age groups as well as a forested area also promote the development of gross motor skills and creative play.
Mulgrave's incredible facilities have been made possible by the generous contributions of many families, past and present, and we thank them for supporting our schools mission and vision.
With more than 22,000 square meters of purpose built space, there's a lot to explore. Take a virtual tour of our campus (click on the image) to experience many of the wonderful spaces where our students feed their curiosities, stretch their abilities, and reach their personal best. You'll also hear from a few of them about their favourite places.
Mulgrave’s SOLE Centre, based at Easter Seals, is a 20-acre property filled with enriched experiential learning opportunities.
Just a 45-minute drive from our West Vancouver campus, students across all grades will access the site for single-day, overnight, and multi-day experiential learning opportunities. Squamish and the surrounding wilderness also provide easy access to world-class outdoor rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and paddling.
The health and wellbeing benefits of experiential outdoor education are well-researched and a core element in our strategic plan, paired with an emphasis on social emotional learning. Additionally, the possibilities for experiential learning and curriculum connections in the sciences, the arts, languages, math, and the humanities are endless.
We also look forward to exploring the potential for connecting with Easter Seals groups to provide additional learning, collaboration, and leadership opportunities for our students.
