Athletics
Mulgrave Titans coaches support students as they strive for athletic excellence and personal best while emphasising character, commitment, communication, confidence and heart.
We believe that participating in athletics and on school teams enhances overall balance and academic success while teaching so many valuable life skills. Physical wellness is a key part of overall student wellbeing and is a fundamental aspect of the IB approach through CAS (Creativity, Action, and Service).
Middle School students participate in Physical and Health Education (PHE) classes as part of their regular schedule. Key skills are developed through classes that are engaging for all levels and promote strong personal health and fitness. Students are not simply graded on their athletic ability but in alignment with the IB MYP critereon, which foster development of knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
In addition, we strongly encourage students to participate in seasonal sports as a Mulgrave Titan. There are opportunities for students to develop their abilities and also contribute to competitive league play.
Our Grade 6 and 7 teams compete in the Independent Schools Elementary Association league, while our Grade 8 and 9 teams compete in the North Shore (NSSSAA) and Independent Schools Athletic Association leagues.
