Squamish Outdoor Leadership and Education Centre

In March 2022 a combination of staff, tradespeople, and dedicated volunteers worked hard at setting up Mulgrave’s Squamish Outdoor Leadership and Education Centre (SOLE Centre). Based at Easter Seals, this 20-acre property has already provided students across all grades with single-day, overnight, and multi-day experiential learning opportunities. 

We have heard from students how grateful they are to have this space, and the opportunity to learn in new ways. Unsurprisingly after the past couple of years, many of our students have expressed joy at being able to be in large groups with their peers again. Our teachers are equally happy to have an expanded range of experiences for their students. 

It has been an amazing start to this exciting project,but we have more ambitious plans for making the SOLE centre a fantastic resource and even better experience for our students. We are not yet done with renovations and upgrades of the living spaces and we have imminent plans  to upgrade the swimming pool facilities. Watch this space for future developments!
