Each year, families are asked to give a gift to Momentum, Mulgrave's Annual Fund. Our hope is that all our families make a donation at a level that is meaningful to them every year that they are at the school.
The funds will go to special initiatives that have been identified by our leadership team. In the 2021-22 academic year, we will focus on Head’s Priority, Teacher Development, and Student Scholarships and Financial Assistance.
Parents are asked each year to donate to Momentum, Mulgrave’s annual fund. While tuition fees provide funds for Mulgrave’s operational costs, donations enable us to cover the ‘margin of excellence’ that sets Mulgrave apart and allows us to provide an enriched, personalised education within spaces that are tailored to learning and exploration. This means providing transformative education spaces for teachers and students, smaller class sizes, up-to-date technology, retention of talented teachers, curriculum enhancements, and carrying out strategic initiatives.
Donations also help support our financial assistance programmes, whether it be through needs-based scholarships or bursaries for current families experiencing challenging circumstances. By making a Mulgrave education affordable to a wider range of students, we ensure a more socially and economically diverse student body, which is an important part of our school’s values, inclusive culture, and ethos.
Annual contributions to Momentum not only show community support for our strategic plan, but also allow the administration to plan ahead for the year, to meet the wishes of our departments and teaching staff.
Your gift will go towards the fund of your choosing: Head’s Priority (areas of greatest need), Scholarships and Financial Assistance, or Teacher Development. You are also welcome to give to more than one fund. Please see our new giving website for more information on each of these funds.
In the past, donors like you have enabled us to enhance programming for our entrepreneurship programme, construct an Early Years playground, outfit language classrooms with new technology, add leading-edge creative tools to the Upper School Makerspace, renovate and upgrade classroom spaces, fund scholarships for students, and so much more.
Although traditionally at Mulgrave we have needed large gifts to meet the fundraising goals of our capital campaigns, we are now shifting to a model that is more sustainable and gives every family the ability to contribute in whatever way is meaningful to them.
All gifts to our annual fund will be used to support the initiatives that both John Wray and the faculty have identified as priorities. So yes, each and every gift will make a difference to all of our students. To see last year's impact, please read our 2020-21 Donor & Giving Report.
While we do ask that you put Mulgrave on your philanthropic priority list and have suggested gift amounts on our donation form, gifts of all sizes are celebrated and valued. Participation is the most important part of annual giving and culture of philanthropy at Mulgrave.
