The Arts
The arts are a universal form of human expression. They offer our students a unique way of knowing and understanding that engages them in effective, imaginative and productive activity. Learning through the arts helps us to explore, shape and communicate our sense of identity and understanding the world while providing opportunities to develop self-confidence, resilience and adaptability.
Mulgrave offers a comprehensive Music, Theatre Arts, Choir, Vocal Ensembles, Band, Film and Visual Arts in this strand. Among the programmes we offer are:

- Theatre Arts Production
- Technical Theatre Crew
- Middle and Senior School Vocal Jazz Ensemble
- Upper and Junior School Choir

Arts Service
We also encourage service in the arts. This builds community through Upper School students working with the ELC and Junior School students’ art projects and art clubs. Arts students are also active in the community through initiatives such as the Harmony Arts Festival, the Silk Purse Gallery and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Students also volunteer through the Mulgrave Arts Council, promoting and supporting the arts throughout the school, as well as art room assistants, who maintain the organisation of the art room. Parents have the opportunity to be involved with displaying and documenting artwork.
