Below is a 'To Do' list with important action items to complete prior to your departure. Please review it carefully and reference it often for the most up-to-date links.

IB package of forms and information (all documents have been made available to students):

  • Complete Mulgrave Sign Out form (pink) and return to Mrs. DeCooman by Friday, May 19th
  • Retrieve Grad Ball tickets from Mrs. DeCooman
  • Celebrate Convocation and Grad Ball - June 2nd and 3rd, 2017!

Can I choose with whom I want to sit at Grad Ball?

Yes. Please indicate your preference in the Grad Ball online RSVP form. Note that only reciprocal requests will be considered.

Who do I speak with about our family deposit?

Please contact Karen Teufel at kteufel@mulgrave.com or 604 922 3223 ext. 3313 in the Advancement Office for more information.

Can I reserve my Convocation seat?

All seats to the Convocation event will be pre-assigned and labeled in advance. If you require special assistance, easy access to exits or priority access, please note this at the time you complete the RSVP form.

Where can I drop of my grad ball ticket cheque?

Please drop off your cheque (payable to Mulgrave School) to the attention of Julie DeCooman at the Senior School office.

How do we order a final transcript?

For Provincial transcripts: Complete PSI form online and see Important Information/BC Ministry Transcripts

For IB Transcripts: IB Transcript Request form (green). If you would like more transcripts than allowed on the form, click here.

Can I make a change my Grad Ball order?

Please submit any changes to the form directly to Julie DeCooman at jdecooman@mulgrave.com. Changes must be received by May 19, 2017.

How much are Grad Ball tickets?

Did you know Mulgrave has an Alumni Association? We hope you stay connected with classmates, Mulgrave families, teachers, and the school, and keep in touch as you continue on your journey post-Mulgrave.

The Class of 2017 reps are: Emilie Desabrais and Shanil Verjee, and they will keep you up to date on alumni happenings and events.

When: Friday, June 2, 2017
3:00 – 7:00 pm
Where: Linda Hamer Theatre

Grads must meet at school in the Music room for a rehearsal at 12:30pm (they should eat lunch before they arrive).

Doors to the Theatre will open at 3:00pm and the ceremony will begin at approximately 3:30pm.


There are no limitations on numbers of attendees and seating is pre-allocated. You must RSVP with the total number of family members that will be in attendance.

Smart Dress Code for all attendees. Example shirt and tie or dresses (under the blue gown).

A reception with light refreshments and photo opportunities follows the ceremony. If you are planning to go out for dinner after the event, we recommend 8:00pm reservations.

Time: 9:00 to 10:00am

This June, Mulgrave staff and students will come together for to give thanks to our parents who graciously and generously contribute their time and talents to make our community a better place. This dedication not only serves to strengthen our community, but also demonstrates to our children the importance of service, commitment and community-mindedness.


When: Saturday, June 3, 2017
Time: 6:30 to 11:00pm
Where: Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, 900 Canada Place, Downtown Vancouver

Families are encouraged to arrive by 6:30pm and mingle in the reception area with Mulgrave teachers as they await the arrival of Grads who will ALL DEPART TOGETHER from the Pre-Grad Celebration to the hotel. Ballroom doors will open at approximately 7:00pm.


Valet Parking - approximately $50
Hotel Self Parking is also available and there are also public parking lots close to the hotel. Street Parking is limited and not recommended given meter time restrictions.


There will be a cash bar at the hotel ballroom for pre-dinner drinks. Water and non-alcoholic punch is included and available all evening. Sodas may be purchased separately as well.


Parents should bring to the hotel a backpack with their Grad’s change of clothes for the After Party. The bag will be locked in a designated room until 11:00pm, when it will be opened for the Grads to change.

For security purposes, please do not let your Grad bring a bag into the hotel. It should be brought by parents. NOTE that parents are expected to take formal Grad clothes home.

Grads change at the hotel and are transported by pre-arranged transportation together directly to After Party location – please contact your Grade Reps for more information.

Grads who do not attend the After Party are required to check out with Ms. Nolan Wood.


When: Wednesday, May 31st
Time: 4:00 - 6:00pm
Where: Begin in Advisory locations, followed by ceremony in the Linda Hamer Theatre and a reception on the Roof Garden

On Wednesday, May 31st we will gather for the Senior School end of year Recognition event where we celebrate every student's personal achievements in all aspects of school life. The event will also mark the culmination of a process that students have undertaken with their advisors to reflect on their personal goals this year. The afternoon will begin at 4:00pm with these small group advisory gatherings where students will share, with their parents, the reflections recorded in their official Record of Achievement booklets. These smaller group ceremonies have been designed by the students, with their Advisors, to be informal and authentic in their presentation format.

This will be followed in the Theatre with a more traditionally formal "Step Up and Closing Ceremony" with all Senior School students where ties are exchanged and speeches delivered. A Senior School reception on the Roof Garden, with photo opportunities, will finish the day. We are looking forward to seeing all parents participate in this year-end celebration. Time: 4:30 - 6:15pm

Grads and their parents are invited prior to Grad Ball for a celebration. Activities begin at 4:30pm. Parents will depart at 6:15pm in order to arrive at the hotel prior to the students. Grads will depart for the hotel promptly at 6:30pm.
