We ended our strong season of volleyball with a great Play Day at the Richmond Oval on Friday. We were so proud of our Mulgrave team. The girls have learnt so much over the volleyball season.
At the Play Day, it all came together. Our players were moving to the ball, communicating with loud “mines” and doing some strong serves. We even had one player achieve a great overhand serve! There was positive communication and support for one another. Players were tracking the ball at the net and being ready for any tips over. We had some great “three touch” plays and a couple strong hits/spikes! It was very exciting to see all of our hard work come together at the Play Day. Some of the highlights and reflections from our players about the season include our improvement in serving, our communication and teamwork. Players reflected that they enjoyed practicing with the team, meeting new friends and improving their individual skills in serving, setting, communicating and moving to the ball.
Thank you to all our Grade 6 volleyball players. You were a pleasure to coach. Thank you as well to our volleyball parents who supported us in many ways and cheered for us along the way!
