Last week, Yale University saw more than 2000 students from 38 countries gather on its campus for The World Scholar's Cup Tournament of Champions. Among them were Mulgrave students: Armon and Arveen S, Matthew C, Irene Z, Henry S and Amy Y. Students engaged with a set curriculum under the theme of 'An Imperfect World'.

Our students competed in four categories: Debate, Collaborative Writing, as well as individual and team knowledge-based tests (Scholar's Challenge and Scholar's Bowl). Students also enjoyed a Boston city tour, lectures from Yale and Stanford University professors and had an opportunity to have a panel discussion with Yale University students. The World Scholar's Cup also focusses on bridging cultural understanding; students participated in a number of community-building events such as the Scholar's Scavenge, the Scholar's Show, the Debate Showcase as well as the Scholar's Ball.
