INSPIRING EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION AND LIFE

We are fast approaching the 25th anniversary of Mulgrave’s founding. In 2018, we will celebrate the dreams of our founding families and the community that they built. We are a young school but we are well-defined. Our students and our alumni are passionate, lifelong learners and principled stewards of our future. Our teachers are dedicated educators who keep one goal at the heart of all they do: to inspire excellence - the continuous pursuit of personal best in education and life - in each of their students. Our parents are the lifeblood of our multicultural community. Their unwavering support and dedication to our school’s values is a force that keeps our spirits high and our vision alive. This triumvirate - students, teachers, parents

- sits as our foundation and is the key to our success, for we work together always to make Mulgrave everything that we can be. As we look ahead to the next few years the imperative to improve and develop our education is even greater than before. We will enhance our focus on preparing our students in and across all divisions of the school, from the earliest age, with the values, skills and personal qualities to thrive in an increasingly complex and competitive international world. We will continue to be a values-based school, maintain our high expectations and standards, avoid complacency, be open to continuous feedback, be ambitious and forward-looking and be innovative and nimble enough to embrace new

ideas from across the world. Our unique education will continue to be based on the International Baccalaureate Programmes, the best academic programmes in the world, and we will remain a three-class-per-grade school. We will continue to focus on ensuring that our students achieve university placements of their choice and are successful in life both in and beyond their post-secondary experiences. As we strive to be an outstanding international school, Mulgrave will continue to offer a broad, holistic education with a strong academic emphasis, outstanding co-curricular opportunities and a focus on the values, personal qualities, and skills that will allow our students to follow their

passions and make a positive difference in the world. Our strategic plan is the result of extensive consultation with students, teachers and parents. We are grateful for your ideas and input, and we look forward to working with you to take a Mulgrave education to the next level. The following pages provide you with a high-level overview of the strategic plan goals, which we will work on in every division of the school. We look forward to explaining how these goals will impact your child and will benefit the Mulgrave community. John Wray, Head of School Harry Wierenga, Chair of the Mulgrave Board of Directors
