Families who wish to be considered for our group visits should submit their applications no later than the indicated deadlines. Students who meet our admissions criteria and are a match for the cohort will be invited to attend. We will consider hosting a second round of group and/or individual visits as needed and based on available space.
*Applications submitted after the early acceptance deadline for the Kindergarten may not be eligible for our group assessment, which takes place in early December.
What does the group assessment entail?
Students will join teachers in small groups based on the year they will be entering in the fall. The assessments typically include a series of developmentally-appropriate academic tasks and an observation period as students interact with the other children in the group. Some of the qualities our teachers look for are curiosity, kindness, respect and enthusiasm.
A parent interview is a required element of the admissions process; both parents are encouraged to attend.
SSAT for Admission
The SSAT is a test for admissions that is offered in BC once a month from October to June.
Registration for the standard test dates begins online August 1, 2018.
Students entering Grades 7 & 8 should register for the Middle Level SSAT.
Students entering Grades 9-11 should register for the Upper Level SSAT.
We highly recommend that students who take the SSAT complete the Character Snapshot. It is free with your registration.
