Founded in 1968, the International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a non-profit educational foundation offering four highly respected programmes of international education that develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. Schools must be authorised, by the IB organisation, to offer any of the programmes. The IB has a hard-earned reputation for high standards of teaching, pedagogical leadership and student achievement. The IBO works with schools, governments and international organisations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
 

The Council of International Schools (CIS) is a membership community committed to high quality international education. As a global non-profit membership organisation, CIS provides services to primary and secondary schools, higher education institutions and individuals that share a desire to provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to pursue their lives as global citizens and a commitment to high quality international education. To achieve this goal, our members must infuse their programmes and offerings with international and intercultural perspective so that students can move forward with the attitudes and understanding that will provide them with a solid base wherever their studies or work may take them.

CAIS was established in 1981 as a national network for member schools supporting collaborative initiatives in leadership, education, management and governance.
