A central part to my life, and the IB programme is exploring and inquiring about global issues with a global mindset. Throughout my life, I have lived in four different countries and on three different continents; this opportunity allowed me to not only be comfortable with my own culture, but also appreciate and embrace other cultures. Upon joining the Mulgrave community in Grade 7, I was amazed by Mulgrave’s respect and desire to learn about each other’s cultures; it is the school’s international community that inspires this. Through international mindedness we can work in harmony with peers from all around the world, as well as learn from each other with ease, being receptive to different global perspectives. At Mulgrave, this ethos of global mindedness contributes to promoting respect, empathy and compassion between all students and staff members, regardless of where they are from, or what culture they practice.
