Participants are invited to sign up for one of the following programs, according to their age and interests:
1. Musical Theatre (Entering Grades 3 to 10)
If you love performing in musicals or have always wanted to be in a musical... if you love to sing, dance or act... or if you simply want to gain performance skills in a fun, supportive environment... this is the program for you! Each day will include a variety of different activities such as singing, dancing, scene work, auditions, theatre games, character-building exercises, and more... all working towards a final evening performance in Mulgrave’s Linda Hamer Theatre.
As always, we welcome all levels of experience, and we firmly believe in giving each participant as many opportunities to learn and excel as possible.

NEW FOR 2010: We have made some changes to our assessment process, in order to ensure an inspiring and stimulating learning experience for everyone. We will hold assessments for all registered participants in advance (see below for more details). **Please note that ALL registrants will be accepted; the assessment will simply allow the directing team to determine each participant’s level and assign them to one of three sub-groups: Advanced, Intermediate or Ensemble. A package with assessment criteria and materials to prepare will be provided to all registrants. This type of process is a fundamental aspect of theatre, and part of the learning experience, so we make every effort to ensure that it is as positive and constructive as possible. The directing team also reserves the right to reassess during the first few days of the program, and could move someone from one category to another (e.g. if they have made significant progress in the intervening weeks, or demonstrate that they are ready for more than their assessment suggested).
Regardless of the sub-group to which they are assigned, all participants will benefit from the same amount of coaching time and expertise from the teaching team - it is simply the content of the coaching that will be tailored to each level. Everyone is pushed to excel, to progress, to gain confidence and to acquire new skills. |

2. Junior Musical Theatre (Entering Grades K to 2)
An opportunity for younger children to participate in the summer musical theatre program, in addition to a variety of other activities such as arts and crafts, stories and indoor/outdoor playtimes. Children will join the Musical Theatre program for part of each day, and will sing and dance in the final production. |
4. Stagecraft & Theatre Tech (Entering Grades 6 to 12)
Interested in what goes on behind the scenes? Like to help projects run smoothly and make things look and sound good on stage? Then Stagecraft & Theatre Tech is for you. Gain hands-on experience in stage management, set design/construction, microphone set-up, lighting design, follow spot operation and much more. Participants will be an integral part of the production team; they will act as stage crew and assist in running sound and lights for the final performance.
ADVANCE ASSESSMENT (Program #1 Participants Only)
Please note that all registrants will be accepted into the program. This assessment will simply determine each person’s level (Advanced, Intermediate, or Ensemble) so that the coaching team can tailor the material to be learned accordingly.
Once your registration has been submitted, you will be contacted to schedule an assessment within one of the following time slots:
Tuesday June 15th, 3:30 - 7:30pm Wednesday June 16th, 3:30 - 6:30pm Monday July 12th, 2:00 - 7:00pm
