Climbing Club

Mulgrave's Climbing Club is an optional co-curricular activity open to students in both the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme.

This club is offered to build skills that will give students confidence, build strength and flexibility and teach students to work as a team.  The Edge Climbing Centre’s staff with instruct the students on all aspects of indoor climbing safety and will coach students on efficient movement skills and climbing techniques.  No climbing experience is necessary to join this club.

The club satisfies the skill requirements of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Program. While we encourage students to take part in this award program, it is not a requirement to participate in the club.

A year end trip allows the students to transfer their climbing skills to the outdoor environment.  They embark on a full day trip to Squamish climbing with guides in the Smoke Bluffs and is a highlight of the club for most participants.
