G11 Post-Secondary Information Evening

G11 students and parents
This session, while geared towards grade 11 students and their parents, may be of interest to grade 10 students and parents as well. Luke Lawson, Director of University Counselling, will be leading families through the Mulgrave School Guide to College and University Decision Making. All are welcome to attend.
UBC Information Session

A representative from UBC will be giving at detailed presentation on applying and studying at either of the two campuses. Information will also focus on UBC's recognition of IB Diploma candidates.

Grade 11 and 12 students and parents
This annual session presented by Luke Lawson will give a general overview of the process for preparing and applying to universities. Emphasis is placed on Canadian universities. Information on requesting and sending transcripts, deadlines, publications and university visits will be provided.
Information Session on applying to and attending American Universities

Grades 9-12 students and parents
We are delighted to have Whitney Laughlin, an experienced educational consultant, present a workshop for students who are considering attending an American university. She received her Ed.M. from Harvard and a doctorate from U.C. Berkeley in Educational Administration and Nonprofiit Management. Ms Laughlin has thirty years experience in postsecondary admissions, career and financial aid counselling and has published numerous articles and given many presentations on these issues. She has also worked in the Harvard College Admission Office.
Luke Lawson, Director of University Counselling, will also present updates on applying to American universities including working on the Common Application and writing the college admission essay.
