How can you help? We need your innovative ideas to develop interesting donation items for this year’s Spring Gala Auction. List www.mulgrave.com

Frequently Asked Questions About Auction Items

Do I have to stick with the suggested donation ideas?
No!!! What we are looking for are new (unused) items, services, and experiences. The items listed are only ideas that have been successful at previous auctions. Be creative!
Where do I get auction items?
Auction items can be purchased personally or solicited from friends, family-owned businesses, your employer, stores you frequent, restaurants, spas, salons…the list is endless!
How important is the Auction Donation form?
The forms are very important!!! Please complete the ENTIRE form and be sure to include a detailed description of your donation, as it is vital to the auction catalogue write-up—we want to present your donation in the best possible way. The information is used for inventory, the auction catalogue and for tax receipt purposes. In keeping with CRA regulations, gift-in-kind donations must be accompanied by documentation attesting to value as described in Item 3 on the back of the Auction Donation form.
What about gift certificates?
Certificates are great. If the donor does not have an official gift certificate, we can create a certificate for them. Simply fill out the form with all of the relevant information.
Do I get a tax receipt?
Mulgrave is a registered charity, and will issue tax receipts in accordance with the Tax Policy described on the back of the Auction Donation form.
Where do I drop off the donations and the forms?
Please include the form with the donation and drop it off at the MVP office in the main foyer. If you need assistance, please ask School Reception for further directions.
Are there any incentives to get my auction donation items in early?
We are thrilled to announce that Patti Koenig of Cambridge & Company has generously donated a $400 gift certificate to be given away. Bring in an auction item by the deadline date and your name will be automatically entered into a draw to win the Mulgrave Uniform Giveaway.
