WELCOME TO OUR 2017-18 Academic Year

Whether you are a new or returning Mulgrave family, the Start-Up Package includes important documents relating to the start of the school year.

Junior School co-curricular guide

We are excited to share the 2017-18 Junior School Co-Curricular Guide. Once again, we are offering a wide-range of programmes for our Kindergarten to our Grade 6 students.

Registration opens on Wednesday, August 23rd at 4:00pm and will close on Monday, September 4th at 4:00pm. An email will be sent to you on the 23rd with specific instructions on how to register.

Co-Curriculars - FAQs

How do I cancel once I have registered?

Cancellations to your Registration:

Cancellations will only be accepted by submitting a HARD COPY of the WITHDRAWAL FORM.

The WITHDRAWAL FORM is located in the Junior School Lobby and must be filled out and submitted to the Junior School Office.

Canecallations cannot be made online, by email or over the phone. ONLY hard copies will be accepted.

The DEADLINE for cancellations for Term 1 is Monday, September 19th at 9:00am. After which all paid clubs will be non-refundable unless stated otherwise.

An email will be going our towards the end of Term 1 and 2 with a confirmation of which clubs your child(ren) are signed-up for. At that time, parents will be given two weeks to cancel. More information will be sent at that time.

Can I register all of my children in one form?

Please complete one form per child.

How do I pay?

Payment instructions will be emailed to parents of students registered in 'Paid Clubs' the week of September 5th. You must follow the links in that email in order to complete payment.


Payment is due prior to the start of the club.

How do I add a club if I have already registered?

Additions can only be made online through the same registration form.
If you need to make an addition after you have completed your online Registration Form, fill out another online form and only select the new club to be added.

Student School Supplies

Starting September 12th, Cambridge will be at Mulgrave Tuesdays from 2:30 to 4:45pm throughout the school year.

Labelling Made Easy

One of the biggest challenges with uniforms is getting them back to their owners. We can do that if the pieces are labelled. We are partnering with Mabel's Labels to provide you with a discount for their most popular products and to help fundraise for the school.

The Mulgrave Store is home to the MVP Uniform Shop, which is run by a small group of very dedicated volunteers who have made it their mission to provide our families with affordable options to meet Mulgrave's uniform standards. The MVP Uniform Shop also offer us all a responsible way to recycle uniform pieces that no longer fit our children.

NEW STUDENT AND PARENT ORIENTATION

There will be several orientations for new parents, but you need only attend one to get the information you need. For the most efficient use of your time, please be sure to bring a laptop or tablet. For the location, please check in at the main reception.

  • Wednesday, August 23rd from 9:30am to 11:30 - two hour workshop tailored to Senior School parents.
  • Monday, August 28th from 10:30am to 12:30pm - two hour workshop tailored to Middle School parents. *The first hour will include a presentation by the Outdoor Education department.
  • Monday, August 28th at 12:30pm - one hour workshop tailored to Junior School parents.
  • Monday, September 11th at 8:30am - one hour workshop tailored to ELC and Kindergarten parents.

If you have not already done so, please CLICK HERE TO RSVP. Once per family is sufficient, so if you have already RSVPed for the student orientation, you do not need to resubmit the form.

The orientation for NEW students entering Grades 10 and 11 is on Wednesday, August 23rd from 9:30am to 11:30am.

Students will have a chance to meet one another and their teachers. They should come dressed in their uniform and bring a laptop so they can sign into the wireless network.

*An information session for new G10-11 parents will be held on that same day (August 23rd) from 9:30 to 11:30am as well. Please plan to bring a computer, iPad, or smart phone so you may also login to our digital resources page.

The orientation for NEW students entering Grades 7-9 is on Monday, August 28th from 10:30am to 2:00pm.

Students will have a chance to meet one another and their teachers. Lunch will be provided for all of the students; this will be a chance for them to socialise with the current group of Middle School Ambassadors. Please come dressed in summer uniform.

Students must bring a laptop so that they can sign into the wireless network and explore our online resources.

*An information session for new parents will be held on that same day (August 28th) from 10:30am to 12:30pm. You are welcome to stay and wait for your child after the parent info session or return at 2:00pm.

The orientation for NEW students entering Grades 1-6 is on Monday, August 28th from 12:30 to 2:00pm.

Parents should escort their children to the third floor where they will find their names on a list by grade (tables with signs will be set up). The students will then get to meet their teachers and have a tour of their classrooms. After the tour, students will gather in the library for a special meeting with Ms. Mitchell, Principal of the Junior School. Students will be brought down to the main reception area at the end of the orientation to meet their parents. Please bring students dressed in Mulgrave's summer uniform.

Library Information

The Mulgrave Library Learning Hub(LLLH) welcomes you back to a new school year! Stroll on up to the third floor and come and see some of the new transformations taking place over the summer. You will find a new open-concept layout to allow for flexible seating, new furniture, and of course –new books!

Below is some important FYIs you may find helpful as you get ready for the start of the new school year.

Outstanding Balances

  • Outstanding balances and money owed for lost books need to be reconciled by Friday, August 25th, 2017. The library team will be happy to help you with this.
  • All library books borrowed over the summer need to be returned by Friday, September 1, 2017.
  • Overdue textbooks from 2016-2017 should be returned as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT: Textbooks for the NEW school year will only be issued once all outstanding books have been returned.
