COME WATCH THE FANTASTIC MR. FOX AT MULGRAVE

On February 16th and 17th a fox will disturb the peace amongst man and beast - and a wild chase will ensue on Mulgrave's theatre stage. Man and animal will try to outwit each other in this exciting action-filled show suitable for the whole community. Based on the popular short story

by Roald Dahl, this scrappy children's classic comes to life thanks to the heartfelt and ambitious performances of our Middle School Performing Arts Club students. Reserved-seating tickets are now on sale via Eventbrite and students can secure general admission tickets free of charge. First rows are being sold for $25 and adult general admission tickets are $10. All proceeds go back to Mulgrave's Performing Arts programmes. Click here to secure tickets to the much-anticipated two-performance show.

THE SPORT OF READING: KIDS' LIT QUIZ

By: Smita Karam

"Who was the honey-eating elephant? Can you name the five children chosen to go to Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory? What did the giant say he was going to use Jack's bone for? What colour are baby unicorns? Do you know the month in which the Titanic sank?"

These are just a few questions from the Kids' Lit Competition which took place on Friday, January 20th at Simon Fraser University's downtown campus.  Ashley W, Talulla C, Ethan K, and Yin Xian L represented Mulgrave in this battle of the books. With 20 teams competing, our very own Mulgrave team received 3rd place; an amazing finish!

MANNEQUIN CHALLENGE ACCEPTED: 5J EXPLORES PASSION

By: Kent Jamieson

Image

Last week, the students in 5J were challenged by 3U to create a 'mannequin' video.  We were very excited to put this together, and we all agreed that our passions would be a great PVP attitude to explore for the challenge.

This was a great activity, as 5J is

currently learning about how we can build and express our creativity. The students thought deeply about what their personal passions were, and had to decide how they wished to show them. Click here to continue reading >>

THAT ALL OUR CAF CONTAINERS ARE 100% BIODEGRA-DABLE?

As part of the environmental initiatives undertaken by the school, some of which include air hand dryers and the removable of paper cups from our coffee stations, we have now successfully moved to 100% biodegradable containers in our cafeteria.

All containers used to serve food that are not re-usable, can now be recycled, making our goal for our students' goal for waste-less lunch much easier.
