MULGRAVE WINS BIG AT ZOOM FILM FESTIVAL

Image

ZOOM 2016 might be wrapping up, but we still have lots to celebrate! Some of you may have already noticed a large trophy in the Film room. Mulgrave had three significant wins this year and we are very proud to celebrate along with the winners. Along with a strong sense of pride, the wins have earned the students scholarships. Continue reading to learn more about the winners and to access links to the films.

STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERNATIONAL HOUR OF CODE

Image

Mulgrave has an exciting week of coding events planned for the students. What started many years ago as a way of introducing computer science to young students, is today 'a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries'. For one week, people around the world will engage with one, or many, of the organisations' one-hour tutorials. Click here to read more about Mulgrave's involvement in this year's Hour of Code.

UNITY IN DIVERSITY

This week, as Mulgrave's contributions to promoting unity and greater respect among diverse groups was being recognised by the North Shore community, we had a chance to reflect on the amazing work being done by our entire community to bring us together. Our commitment to integrating intercultural skills into our education and the many Mulgrave initiatives to celebrate diversity makes our community truly special.

MVP SPOTLIGHT - SHANNON VRSNIK

Shannon is Mulgrave's ELC MVP Divisional Rep. Among her responsibilities in this role, Shannon meets with new families and connects them to the ELC. For Shannon, this opportunity is a privilege and one she approaches with the mindset of an ambassador to the school at large. Her sincere appreciation for the school, our community and IB are just some of the many reasons why Shannon chooses to volunteer. Click here to get to know her.

PEOPLE OF MULGRAVE - FARIS MECKLAI (G12)

Two years ago, curious to understand the environmental impact of the development happening around the school, Faris began to study the stream behind the school and its surrounding area. His work has spearheaded a club at the school which is poised to continue studying the stream and

TITANS CORNER - CONGRATULATIONS TO JUSTIN ABRARY

Congratulations to Justin Abrary on being selected for the 2016 North Shore's Second All-Star Team for Senior Boys Soccer. Justin, a natural central attacking midfielder, was the only G10 that made the All-Star Team - a well-deserved selection due to his fierce competitiveness and tenacious work ethic, both of which he brought to the field every game. He was one of the Senior Boys' most prolific scorers and was extremely valuable to the team as one of its most dangerous strikers.
