CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY - ONE OF MANY NOTABLE UNIVERSITIES VISITING MULGRAVE THIS SEPTEMBER

Friday, September 23rd at 4:00pm Mulgrave will host representatives and admissions officers from over 25 UK universities, a number of which are Russell Group schools. 


The Russell Group represents 24 leading UK universities which are committed to maintaining the very best research, an outstanding teaching and learning experience and unrivalled links with business and the public sector. 

Among the universities joining us for our annual UK University Fair are: University of Cambridge, University of St. Andrews, University of Edinburgh, University of Liverpool and more.

 

In addition, at 4:00pm St. George's Medical School will be giving an 'Admissions 101' presentation on the ins and outs of applying and interviewing for medical school in the UK.

 

Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to meet with some of the best universities in the UK. The event is open to the entire North Shore community.

We are launching the series with two podcasts from open door sessions that took place yesterday - the G10-12 University Counselling and the G11 Introduction to the DP. We would love to hear ideas for future features so please email those to

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT - BEN THOMPSON

Since the day Ben took his first step, his life has revolved around adventure. At the age of eight, Ben noticed he didn't have control over the muscles in his legs and had to learn to adapt to his body's boundaries, which he soon discovered could be pushed and stretched further than he ever imagined. Get to know Ben.

The Lost & Found closet is now filled to capacity. Please make a point of stopping by the closet in the coming weeks. The key is available from Mrs. Orsmond at the school's main reception desk.

 

All items not claimed by September 23rd will be cleared out and donated.

NEW CHARACTER
EDUCATION COURSE  

 

This term we have launched our new and exciting Character Education course for our Senior School students. The course was designed in direct response to feedback from students about life skills preparation. Topics covered include health, well-being and relationships, as well as managing risk. NEWS FROM THE STRANDS

As it was shared last week, this year we are offering some very exciting new initiatives.

Among the highlights are a new Mulgrave Passport, a new digital portfolio of skills, experiences and learning; the CAS Capstone Project and a new service learning initiative for our Grade 11s. In the Middle School, the Global Experiential Learning (GEx) Project will be launching this fall. Look out for an upcoming Open Door to further discuss details.

Sr. Soccer Boys Head to Victoria

 

Our Sr. Soccer Boys Titans head to Victoria next Thursday afternoon to play the ISAA tournament at SMUS. The team has been practicing since late August. All other Titans teams are in the process of tryouts with league game play slotted to start the week of September 19th.
