What is this Kids' Lit Quiz you may be wondering? Kids' Lit Quiz is a literature competition for those who have a love of reading and a love for books. Teams of four compete to answer questions about books, characters, authors, setting, plot, and all things that can be found between the beginning and end of a book. With 10 categories each consisting of 10 questions (yes, that's 100 questions!), teams work collaboratively against the clock as the Quizmaster doles out questions. To keep the audience on their toes, the Quizmaster also queries them in between the student rounds. Did I mention there is money to be made for those audience members with the correct answer? It is never a dull moment as students and adults fast and furiously rack their brains to share their knowledge of books!

As with any competition, winning teams are recognised in each heat and move forward to the National Finals, and from there to the World Finals. New to the sport of reading, Mulgrave's journey to the finals has just begun! As Dr. Seuss once said, " You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you choose". For those with a passion for reading, we hope you join us in our quest on the road to the finals in 2018! Watch out for the Kids' Lit Club with Ms.O'Byrne and Ms. Karam next year!
