For a students' perspective on the night's happenings, read the below reflection by Camisha Rahmatian

This past weekend, on Saturday November 26th, Mulgrave hosted its annual ZOOM film festival awards show. The night was set up to be a scene perfect for passionate film makers. As a film student, Zoom awards has always been a very entertaining night, and being in a room full of other filmmakers who have so much experience and drive is a feeling like no other.

The night started off with a red carpet entrance, fit for the stars. Walking up the stairs, there were decorations everywhere, and installations representing the prop and theme of this year's contest being "between a rock and a hard place" and the incorporation of a radio. Many of the films did an amazing job at work with those requirements.

After entering the awards show, and walking around and talking to other students, it was time to make their way to the theatre where the awards were about to commence. The films shown were spectacular and the winning and nominated groups should be very proud of their creations.

There was something for everyone on this noteworthy night, and generally everyone seemed to have a very fun and incredible experience, through the production processes of their films and the awards they received, that were well deserved!

Congratulations again to all of the winning groups, and I'm sure everyone is just as eager as I am to see next year's submissions.
