The students also explored artwork from a number of artists, which they picked from their inspiration boards on Pinterest. We investigated the techniques that the artist used. In order to understand different genres of artworks, we also examined works that were created during the period of 'modernism' and 'postmodernism'.

This project allows the students to truly explore their identity and things that represent them. We selected different materials such as acrylic, watercolour, thread, pencils, wood, plastic which helped us to develop our intentions.

With the creative minds of the students, and an amazing teacher, it seems that the Grade 11s would yet have another fabulous year of exploring different creative processes. Let's hope that our next project will be even better! - TZ
